At the Mental Health Network we believe that the people who use mental health service have gained valuable knowledge about services. This knowledge can provide the service planner and providers with ideas that could make the services better for everyone involved.
We gather people’s experiences in a variety of ways including:
Holding meetings and focus groupsWorking with other voluntary organisations Supporting people that have mental health difficulties to take part in groups or meetings Views and experiences that we have gathered are then passed on to the people that plan and deliver the mental health services in Greater Glasgow
We are keen within the Mental Health Network to collect your views on the current issues that are affecting you. We are holding a series of "Open Space" events where we would like to hear from you and your views on current issues. There will be 3 main questions:
Personalisation - How is this affecting you?
What is happening in your area?
How can Mental Health Network help and become more involved in your area?
These meetings will be held in the Network Office at Templeton Business Centre on the following dates:
Tuesday 29th May 1.30 - 3.30 p.m.
Tuesday 12th June 1.30 - 3.30 p.m.

As part of the relocation of the mental health wards from the Southern General to Leverndale, we are having an event to further develop our involvement with Users and Carers, around the options for design and location in Leverndale.
This builds on an event we had in Spring 2010 which set out the plans and options for the relocation of wards. The Mental Health Network will be involved in this event and feedback from it will be posted on their website in early November.
